Our Mission:

To represent the Otaku Culture in the marketplace by providing footwear and related merchandise of the highest quality and comfort.

Onmyodo prides itself on being a company that was founded by Otaku for Otaku. Our environment fosters a creative and productive environment where employees can feel free to express themselves and not feel the pressure to conform to a standard “black suit” environment.

While being an Otaku is not a requirement, it sure does help (a LOT). As anyone who has seen our office can attest to, there are more action figures and toys than there will ever be home office employees. Onmyodo encourages its employees to be the Otaku they are.

While remaining true to their roots, Onmyodo staff must be hardworking, not afraid to be heard, somewhat fanatic about Japanese culture, and willing to learn just about any job that is thrown at them. As a startup company, positions, while designated by title, are very loose when it comes to the actual work being done and everyone must be willing to throw in the their hat to get the job done correctly. Employees must also be willing to move to Altoona or surrounding, easily commutable areas. All work is done from the home office both for productivity and to foster a sense of community in the work environment.
